The Women’s Care Group meets the first Wednesday evening of each month from 6:30-8:00 pm. All women are invited to come together for Bible study, prayer, sharing and warm conversation. Each year women are also given the opportunity to participate in Sister Care, where women meet together in pairs as spiritual friends for prayer, sharing, and mutual support. Women are also invited to participate in a morning breakfast meeting every second Tuesday of the month at Dairy Queen at Harmony Square in Harrisonburg at 7 a.m.
The Men’s Group meets every Wednesday morning. The first Wednesday of the month we meet 6:45 a.m. in our church basement for a book or Bible study and a time for prayer. The next three Wednesdays we meet at a local McDonalds on Carlton Street at 7 a.m. for coffee, breakfast and fellowship.
Ridgeway Mennonite has a diverse Small Group Ministry. Our eight groups range in size from very small to large. Some groups have a mixture of younger and older folks while others have just one age group. Small groups are an important part of our ministry as we foster spiritual growth and care for each other.
Prime Timers find themselves in various stages of retirement. We value time together and wish to offer spiritual, social and emotional support to each other. Meeting time is on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. We share a meal followed by an activity or invited guest speaker.
